Service Description
An academic enrichment programme introducing aspiring medical students to the foundations of healthcare research. Drawing on my experience conducting anatomical research, creating three-dimensional fascicle maps and presenting award-winning work at a national surgical conference, I introduce students to research questions, study designs, scientific literature, critical appraisal, basic data interpretation, abstracts, posters and oral presentation skills. Students will examine accessible examples and develop a short research or presentation idea of their own. This programme is especially useful for students completing an EPQ, preparing for interviews or seeking meaningful supercurricular development.
